Mauricio Pochettino played down fears Levi Colwill had suffered a fresh injury for Chelsea after taking the defender off at half-time of Tuesday's Carabao Cup win over Newcastle.
The 20-year-old defender made his 20th appearance of the season at Stamford Bridge, continuing his run of playing in all-but one of the Blues' games this season.
However, he appeared to be struggling with an injury after a tangle with Callum Wilson during the first half and Pochettino took Colwill off at the break.
The Chelsea boss reassured fans after the penalty shootout win that his player was not injured.
"It was more tactical," Pochettino told Sky Sports.

"He was a little bit tired. He's playing a lot of games, Malo [Gusto] was more defensive and more fresh. He should be ready to next game no problem."
Enzo Fernandez was another to be substituted early against Newcastle, departing after only 32 minutes.
"He felt sick before the game," explained Pochettino.
"When he started to play he wasn't very well. He asked to come off, we hope it's not a big thing."
