Manchester United fans were quick to react to the news of transfer 'target' Evan Ferguson signing a new contract with Premier League rivals Brighton.
Ferguson committed his long-term future to the Seagulls by signing a contract that runs until 2028. He has impressed for Brighton in his breakthrough season, registering eight goals and three assists in 19 appearances in all competitions. The frontman also scored his first goal for the Republic of Ireland last month in a friendly against Latvia.
The 18-year-old striker's contract was due to expire in the summer of 2026 and reports suggested he was attracting strong interest from both United and Tottenham. However, the Irishman, who joined Brighton from Irish side Bohemians in 2021, committed his future to Roberto de Zerbi's side.
