Leslie Jordan 'suffered from shortness of breath' before he died in tragic car crash

Leslie Jordan reportedly suffered from shortness of breath in the weeks leading up to his tragic death at the age of 67.

The beloved Hollywood actor died on Monday in a car crash while on his way to work. He is said to have suffered an unspecified "medical issue" at the wheel of his BMW car before crashing into the side of a building, according to his agent.

His cause of death is yet to be released.

Leslie is thought to have felt unwell for three weeks and scheduled an appointment to see his cardiologist within the next week to determine if he was suffering from any underlying conditions.

Sources close to the Will and Grace star said he was otherwise generally healthy, according to TMZ.

The Mirror has approached Leslie's representatives for comment.

"The world is definitely a much darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan," a representative for Jordan said in a statement on Monday.

"Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times."

"Leslie Jordan was one of the funniest people I ever had the pleasure of working with."

Penning his tribute alongside a snap of the two on set, Sean added: "Everyone who ever met him, loved him. There will never be anyone like him.

"A unique talent with an enormous, caring heart. You will be missed, my dear friend."
