Les Dennis has said he would love to return to Coronation Street in a new role.
The actor joined Lorraine today to discuss his recent move to the Only Fools & Horses stage show. Drawing their conversation to a close, Lorraine said she misses seeing his Michael Rodwell character in ITV's Coronation Street.
Les was on the cobbles for just over two years before he met his end with a heart attack due to scrapping with Scouse serial killer Pat Phelan. His character quickly became a firm favourite with viewers, leading to an emotional exit.

Lorraine said she would love to see the star return to the role under the guise of a possible "evil twin." Les appeared to be a fan of the idea as he added: "We could or maybe a nemesis brother. Maybe a long-lost brother."
Les said that he would "love" to return to the show and would be more than grateful to pick up the role again. He said: "I loved playing Michael, he was a lovely character to play. I had a great time playing him, two and a half years I was there."
Lorraine joked that he could return as a totally new character, similar to how Maureen Lipman switched roles after a 16-year gap. Les said if he was able to be written back into the show under a believable guise, he would definitely consider the opportunity.
