Arsenal have reportedly discussed a potential transfer for Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane this summer as Mikel Arteta looks to reinforce his attacking options at the Emirates Stadium.
The Spaniard's Manchester City connections have already been utilised this summer, tempting Gabriel Jesus to north London on a permanent transfer. Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos have all also arrived but there is likely to be more to come before the window closes.
Raphinha had been a top target for the Gunners but after the former Leeds winger signed for Barcelona this week, and they may revert their attentions to the Bayern Munich ace they apparently considered at the start of the summer.

"A move to La Liga could be more likely, I’ve not heard rumblings at the Chelsea end," journalist Ben Jacobs told The Done Deal Show. "I’ve actually heard more rumblings from Arsenal that this was a name being considered at the beginning of the window, but then they turned their attentions to Raphinha."
With Raphinha confirming his move to Barcelona in recent days, the Gunners will be made to focus on alternative targets. Having previously targeted Sane back in 2020, they may well make a second move.
It is one that may well appeal to the winger as well, despite the lack of Champions League prospects. Talking in Pep’s City: The Making of a Superteam, Sane piled praise on Arteta.
"People always ask me about training under Pep, but the things I’ve learnt from Mikel Arteta," he said. "We get on brilliantly, he’s a lovely guy and a great coach. And he’s always right.
"He’ll watch me at training and then afterwards he’ll tell me what he thinks. He doesn't just suggest something and leave me to get on with it."
