Leo Balogun is being eyed for a reunion with Michael Beale as his former coach looks to convince him to make QPR his next club after Rangers.
The 34-year-old central defender - who can also play at right-back - was a favourite at Ibrox and featured heavily in their run to the Europa League final last season. He initially joined in 2020 to provide defensive cover under Steven Gerrard and won a Premiership title in his first season, maintaining performances under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
A departure beckoned in the summer and he's since been looking for a new club. Beale is the boss at QPR after leaving Rangers last November to become Gerrard's assistant at Aston Villa, opting to become his own man. West London Sport report that Balogun is one player he wants to add to his Championship squad during what could be a madcap end to this summer's transfer window.

Rangers' former tactician is planning to make 'at least two and potentially as many as five signings as the end of the transfer window approaches.'
An entire spinal job is being targeted, with the attack, central midfield and central defence plus a back-up goalkeeper wanted.
One player they may move for is Cameron Archer on a loan deal, the Aston Villa forward who was a reported Light Blues target earlier this summer.
