Leigh Griffiths is BACK in football after rejoining Mandurah City for the 2023 season.

The former Celtic star scored twice for City last term after being lured down under on a short-term deal by John Baird - who used his connection and friendship with the ex-Scotland international to make a deal happen.

The 32-year-old has been without a club for an extended period after failing to find another opportunity following his stint in Australia and he has now returned on a full-time basis with Baird full of praise for the club and work done behind the scenes to make the move happen. He told the Mandurah Mail: "I am very pleased for everyone involved with the club.
