Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has confirmed that there has been no progress on a deal for Youri Tielemans' exit from the club is stalling as things currently stand. The Belgian has 12 months remaining on his contract with the Foxes and could leave this summer before it expires.
Both Arsenal and Premier League rivals Manchester United have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old, with claims that £25million could be enough to secure his signature. football.london understands that a central midfielder remains towards the top of the Gunners' transfer priority list for the remainder of the window.
That could well see Tielemans, or a whole host of other options linked, become signing number six of a busy transfer market already for Mikel Arteta. Arsenal have spent over £100million in building a squad to challenge for the top four once again, having missed out narrowly last time out.

A mixture of fresh faces greeted with a perfect record in pre-season so far - including a 4-0 drubbing of London rivals Chelsea in Florida - has built plenty of excitement surrounding Arsenal heading into the new season. However, the manager has claimed there could be more improvement and hinted at further potential signings.
Arteta said: "Again, don’t get carried away. There were a lot of positives, there are a lot of things we can do much, much better than we have done today as well and we have to continue to improve as a team."
With squad depth and quality a clear issue last campaign, the summer additions will be hoping to address those concerns. While a midfielder is a priority, the Gunners are yet to make their move in the market. Tielemans has been one player available, but the chairman of Leicester confirmed that a deal has stalled at this moment.
Srivaddhanaprabha confirmed: "It's nothing. There haven't been any offers yet. There hasn't been anything concrete or a proposition yet."
It leaves the race to sign the midfielder wide open should either team wish to make their move to bolster their midfield department.
