THE legal right to have access to free period products comes into force in Scotland on Monday.
Scotland will become the first country in the world to protect this right in law and, as a result, councils and education providers will be legally required to make sanitary towels and tampons available free of charge to anyone who needs them under the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act.
