Leeds woman to fulfill late mother's dream of becoming a children's author

A Leeds mother-of-two is on the cusp of realising her own mother's dream of becoming a children's author when her book is launched on Saturday, May 21.

Anita French's mother tragically passed away from cancer 20 years ago, before she had chance to publish a book. Mrs French, who was 18 when her mother died will launch her book 'Jack and the Ultimate Dare' at Bramley Trinity Methodist Church in Leeds.

Mrs French, who is half-Swedish and half-French and moved to Leeds in 2008 after she married a Yorkshireman, works as a teaching assistant at a primary school in Leeds. Although she always loved writing she says the biggest motivation to her writing her own book was fulfilling her mother's dream.
