The forecasts are out, snow is coming to the UK and Yorkshire this week, and it will be very cold too.
Leeds has not been spared, and the prediction is that the white stuff will hit the city by Thursday, and cause massive disruption too. The Met Office has put yellow weather warnings in place, including for Leeds, saying: "Parts of Northern Ireland, north Wales and northern England are currently expected to see the worst of the conditions on Thursday, with parts of Scotland and northern England then seeing the heaviest snow on Friday."
The Met Office have warned that snow "could develop quite widely" on Thursday and Friday. This will continue into the afternoon and at around 3pm Leeds will see between one and two centimetres of snow. Into the evening, this will increase to two centimetres.

The revelations come hot on the heels of a Polar Vortex in Januay and a Sudden Stratospheric Warming in February. Both events led to predictions that this March could be the coldest March ever seen in the UK.
Leeds will be quite cold on Wedenesday. A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "A bright, cold, and frosty start with scattered snow showers along coasts. Cloud pushing from the south in the afternoon with the odd snow shower making progress inland at times. Maximum temperature 4 °C."
The morning will see some sunny intervals changing to overcast by lunchtime. From the late afternoon there is a chance of rain and snow later.
