Tuesday will see a mix of sunshine and clouds in Leeds with warm temperatures and no rain.

Leeds residents will be greeted by sunny intervals from the start of Tuesday morning and in to the afternoon.

From 3pm temperatures are expected to peak at 26C and it should remain sunny for the rest of the evening, with the sun forecast to settle on the city at 8.49pm.

There will be a light breeze throughout the day and it will remain clear of any rain from start to finish.

The warm weather will act as a good precursor to the high temperatures forecast for Leeds and the whole of England later in the week when a heatwave sweeps the nation.

In its summary of the weather to come on Tuesday in Yorkshire, the Met Office says: "Any fog quickly clearing to leave a dry and largely sunny day, although this becoming hazy at times due to thin layers of high cloud. Feeling warm with light winds. Maximum temperature 26 °C."
