Leeds United transfer rumours as Whites linked to Brennan Johnson and Matt Targett

Your Leeds United transfer rumours round-up for Wednesday, April 27.

Johnson 'a summer target for Leeds'

The most interesting rumour is that Leeds United might be in for Wales international Brennan Johnson, according to the Daily Mail. The 20-year-old winger currently plays for Nottingham Forest.

The paper wrote: "Brennan Johnson is a summer target for Leeds United if they stay in the Premier League and Nottingham Forest miss out on promotion."

Nottingham Forest are currently in a play-off spot, so anything could happen between now and summer. However, even if Forest do not get promoted and Leeds stay up, they will not be the only ones in the hunt, with the youngster having attracted the attention of most big clubs.

Leeds 'hold an interest' in Targett

According to 90min, Leeds are among a host of clubs interested in left-back Matt Targett. The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Newcastle United from Aston Villa and is expected to leave the Midlands permanently in summer.

The most likely move is for Targett to make his move to the North East permanent, having impressed his new boss Eddie Howe. However, with Newcastle's new riches they may have eyes elsewhere.

The website wrote : "Leicester, Wolves and Leeds also hold an interest in Targett, 90min understands, but staying on Tyneside is the favoured option."
