Leeds United transfer rumours as Tottenham keen on Whites regular and Belgian striker eyed

Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Saturday, 2 April 2022.

Spurs keen on Harrison

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on a summer move for Leeds United winger Jack Harrison, according to the Telegraph. Spurs’ director of football Fabio Paratici is said to be a fan of the 25-year-old after Harrison’s former New York City FC teammate Andrea Pirlo told him about the Leeds man.

The report claims that Spurs saw an enquiry for Harrison turned down in the January window by Leeds but could revisit a deal this summer. Antonio Conte reportedly sees him as a player who can play at left wing back, or in the front three, which would suit his 3-4-3 system perfectly.

Leeds monitor Belgian star

Leeds United are among a host of Premier League clubs keeping a close eye on Club Brugge striker Charles De Ketelaere. That is according to TeamTalk, who claim that Leicester City, Newcastle United, Wolves and Brighton are also monitoring his progress.

Jesse Marsch confirmed in Thursday’s pre-Southampton press conference that Leeds are likely to target a new number nine in the summer to ease the pressure on Patrick Bamford, who has been plagued by injuries this season. Highly rated De Ketelaere fits that bill perfectly as he has netted 17 goals and provided eight assists in all competitions this season.

‘Pole position’ for Aaronson

Leeds United are reportedly the frontrunners to sign RB Salzburg midfielder Brenden Aaronson this summer. That is according to Football Insider, who claim that initial talks have already taken place and Aaronson is keen on the move.

The Whites submitted two bids for Aaronson in the January transfer window, though Salzburg remained firm in their stance he was not for sale. Leeds are likely to be met with less resistance in the upcoming window, though, with a fee of between £21-£25million understood to be the asking price.
