Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Friday, 1 July 2022.
Forest in for Aina
Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in Leeds United-linked right-back Ola Aina, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Leeds were linked with a move for Aina both in January and earlier this summer but have instead signed Rasmus Kristensen, which is likely to end any potential interest in the Nigerian.
Forest are in the market for a new right back this summer, with last season’s loan star Djed Spence on the verge of agreeing a move to Tottenham from Middlesbrough. Steve Cooper’s side have also reportedly seen an opening offer turned down for Liverpool’s Neco Williams.

Simon interest
Leeds United are reportedly battling Nice for the signing of Nantes winger Moses Simon. That is according to RMCSport, who claim that although Nice already have an agreement with Simon, Leeds are continuing to keep a close eye on his situation.
Simon scored six goals and provided eight assists last season for Nantes and is the latest winger to be linked with the Whites as they look for a Raphinha replacement. PSV’s Cody Gakpo is the player who has been most heavily touted at this stage.
Brugge eye potential Charles de Ketelaere replacement
Club Brugge are reportedly eyeing a move for Sochaux attacker Alan Virginius as a potential replacement for Leeds United-linked Charles de Ketelaere. That is according to Le10Sport, who claim the Ligue 2 side are ready to cash in on Virginius as he enters the final year of his contract.
Brugge are set to face competition from Newcastle United and Bayer Leverkusen for the 19-year-old, who like de Ketelaere, can play both up front or out wide. Leeds and AC Milan are both strongly interested in the de Ketelaere, and so the Belgian side appear to be making plans over having to replace him.
