Here is a round-up of the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Wednesday, July 6.
Liverpool linked with Leeds transfer target
Reports suggest that Liverpool are set to swoop in for Leeds transfer target Cody Gakpo. The PSV forward has been linked with the Whites as well as Manchester City and Arsenal.
Across all competitions, Gakpo scored 21 goals in 46 appearances for PSV last season, and he has now made seven appearances for the Dutch national team after making his debut at Euro 2020.
Liverpool would only want to commit to a deal for Gakpo if it can be completed at a reasonable price. It is understood that PSV value the winger at around £34m.
Eddie Howe "very interested" in bringing Leeds winger to Newcastle United
Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe is "very interested" in signing Leeds United winger Jack Harrison, according to The Athletic's Chris Waugh. Speaking on the Pod on the Tyne podcast, Waugh said that Harrison could be a possible alternative to Bayer Leverkusen's Mousa Diaby. Harrison scored eight goals in 35 appearances in the Premier League for Leeds last season.
However, Waugh also admitted that a move to Newcastle would have been more likely had Leeds been relegated to the Championship last season.
"They (Newcastle) are considering other options in that position," said Waugh. "Jack Harrison at Leeds is someone they liked and I think they were going to move for him if Leeds had gone down. He had a release clause."
Sheffield United join list of clubs eyeing move for Leeds forward
Sheffield United have become the latest Championship side to be linked with a loan move for Tyler Roberts.
According to Darren Witcoop, Queens Park Rangers and Hull City currently lead the race for the Welsh international, but Sheffield United have also signalled their interest. The Daily Mail have reported that Birmingham City are another Championship side interested in a loan deal for the 23-year-old.
Roberts looks set for a loan move to the Championship after finding regular game time at Elland Road hard to come by in 2022, not helped by picking up a season-ending injury in March.
Since joining Leeds in 2018 from West Bromwich Albion, Roberts has made 108 appearances for the Whites, scoring nine goals.
