Leeds United transfer rumours as Koln defender reportedly on radar and fresh Raphinha update emerges

Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Tuesday, April 5.

Leeds eye Koln defender

Leeds United are reportedly among a host of Premier League sides eyeing a summer move for FC Koln centre back Timo Hubers. That is according to the Mail Online, who claim that West Ham, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Fulham are also monitoring his situation.

Hubers has established himself as a key player for the Bundesliga side during the second half of the season but will have just 12 months left to run on his deal in the summer. Leeds could be in the market for a new centre back this summer as they look to address the worst defensive record in the Premier League.

Raphinha not dependant on Dembele

Barcelona’s summer interest in Leeds United winger Raphinha will not be dependent on whether Ousmane Dembele signs a new contract. That is according to Spanish outlet AS, via Sport Witness, who say that Barca boss Xavi Hernandez would like both players at his disposal as he believes they can both play in the same team.

Dembele is out of contract at the Camp Nou in the summer and as things stand, progress has been limited on extending his deal, though it is thought he would like to stay. Raphinha has been earmarked as a priority target for Barcelona this summer, but it remains to be seen whether they can meet Leeds’ asking price.

Dest to Bayern Munich?

Reported Leeds United target Sergino Dest could be used as leverage in a deal between Barcelona and Bayern Munich for Robert Lewandowski. Lewandowski is thought to be a target for the Catalan outfit in the summer as they look to strengthen their forward line with the prolific Poland international.

According to Sport, Barcelona are open to using Dest in a deal for Lewandowski as a way of bringing the transfer fee down. The 33-year-old is out of contract in the summer of 2023 and talks over a new deal at the Allianz Arena have not progressed overly quickly, meaning it could be their last chance to earn a fee for him.
