Here are the latest Leeds United rumours on Wednesday 21 September 2022.
Harrison contract
Leeds United are looking to tie Jack Harrison down to a new deal ahead of the January transfer window, according to the Northern Echo. They claim that the Whites want to secure Harrison's long-term future with Newcastle potentially set to return for him in January.
The Magpies had two bids rejected for Harrison during the summer as he featured highly on a list of winger/attacking midfield targets, that ultimately they failed to bring in. Harrison has left than two years left to run on his current contract and Leeds are keen to ensure that Newcastle don't make another play for his signature.
Bamba set for dugout?
Former Leeds United defender Sol Bamba is reportedly among the early contenders for the vacant managerial role at Cardiff City. That is according to Wales Online, who claim that Bamba is someone the Bluebirds are keeping tabs on, though current caretaker boss Mark Hudson is currently the front runner.
Cardiff are in the market for a new manager following the dismissal of another former Leeds player Steve Morison at the weekend. Morison was sacked with the club sat 18th in the Championship after their opening 10 matches.
