A look at the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Tuesday, February 14.
Wilfried Gnonto attracting attention from 'numerous European clubs'
Italian journalist Rudy Galetti claims a number of European clubs are keeping a close eye on Leeds United's talented youngster Wilfried Gnonto. The forward has been a bright spark in an otherwise disappointing campaign for the Whites, his recent goal at Old Trafford shining the spotlight on him further.
Galetti said: "The impact in English football is excellent, and in a short time he manages to take the starting position. Performances of the highest level and the last match against Manchester United is proof of this: a dream goal, in the first minute of the game, in the theatre of dreams.
"A goal that drove everyone crazy, even the most sceptical who, in the past, they hadn't given credit to its huge potential. Now, Wilfried Gnonto is ready to take the team on his shoulders, reminding everyone that the boy from Verbania, at just 19 years old, has already won the attention of numerous European clubs with his extraordinary talent and his "cazzimma"."
Alfred Schreuder jets back to Holland and no longer in running for Leeds job
Alfred Schreuder is no longer in the running to take over at Leeds United, despite being at Elland Road for the game against Manchester United at the weekend. The Dutch coach was touted as a potential replacement for Jesse Marsch who was sacked by the club last week.
Phil Hay of the Athletic tweeted: "Hearing that Alfred Schreuder no longer being considered for the Leeds job. Has gone back to Holland and won’t be appointed. Discussions now continuing with other candidates. Skubala continuing to work with the squad in the meantime."
The Whites had been hopeful of appointing a manager this week after parting company with Marsch. The American coach has since been linked with a sensational move to Southampton, who are also on the hunt for a new boss after sacking Nathan Jones last week.
