Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has claimed the Whites don't ‘speak in the group’ about the prospect of relegation amid their 3-0 win over Watford on Saturday. Leeds stretched their unbeaten run to four matches in the Premier League with the victory which has enabled them to open up a nine-point gap over the bottom three.
It has been a largely frustrating season in the main for Leeds but their recent resurgence has enabled them to move within touching distance of survival. Having that said, both Burnley and Everton still have two games in hand on Jesse Marsch’s side, which could put the pressure on.
In an interview with LeedsUnited.com, Phillips revealed that the Toffees’ win over Manchester United helped spur them on in the early kick off and stated that he and his teammates have always been ‘confident’ in their ability to secure survival.
