Another forward player was linked with Leeds United on Friday morning, despite the recent record purchase of Georginio Rutter. Highly-regarded French newspaper L’Equipe reported Brazilian winger Tete was in the UK and ready to sign with the Whites.
However, LeedsLive understands there are no negotiations taking place with Victor Orta or United. Leicester City were credited with a strong interest in Shakhtar Donetsk’s winger on Thursday and there is a possibility this is where Tete will end up.
Leeds are understood to be happy with where their squad is at as the transfer window enters its final four days. Jack Harrison has been linked with an exit to Leicester, while Weston McKennie is being strongly touted for a switch to Elland Road from Juventus in Italian reports.

However, there is no appetite for any more forward additions after Rutter’s arrival from Hoffenheim created a big enough selection dilemma for Jesse Marsch. Joe Gelhardt is expected to exit the Whites before the end of the window, after Championship play-off chasers Sunderland edged ahead in the pursuit yesterday.
