Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has put to bed any rumours that Jack Harrison will depart Elland Road this month amid links to Newcastle United. The Magpies reportedly have Harrison on their shortlist of attacking targets this summer and are thought to have had an opening bid turned down.
It remains to be seen whether Newcastle will return with a fresh offer, particularly after Radrizzani’s latest hands-off warning. Newcastle have interest in a number of wingers as well as Harrison, with Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby and Leicester City’s Harvey Barnes also having been linked.
On paper, Harrison would be viewed as arguably the cheapest option, though that has not been the case, with Leeds setting a high asking price to avoid losing another key player. The Whites have already sold two of their biggest stars from last season’s squad, with Kalvin Phillips departing for Manchester City and Raphinha making the switch to Barcelona.

Given the difficult campaign that Leeds endured last term, they can hardly afford to lose another important member of the squad. Harrison has netted eight goals in each of the last two Premier League seasons and became an important part of Jesse Marsch’s side following his appointment in March.
Half of Harrison’s Premier League goals came from March 18 onwards, highlighting how key the 25-year-old was during Leeds’ nervy relegation run-in. Radrizzani was discussing Harrison’s future in an interview with the Athletic and was quick to dismiss the rumours of a departure for the winger this summer. He said: “Absolutely not. There is no way. Jack stays here.”
