A round-up of the latest Leeds United morning headlines for Friday, January 27.
Weston McKennie
Italian journalist Gab Marcotti says Leeds United would be a 'great opportunity' for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie, who he believes is suited to the Premier League.
Negotiations are progressing between Leeds and Juventus, with the player keen on making to switch from the Serie A giants to Elland Road.

McKennie would join fellow USA international teammates Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson, as well as American compatriots Jesse Marsch and Chris Armas if Leeds secured his signing before the end of the transfer window.
Marcotti has claimed that Juventus are ready to let McKennie go, and says that it would be a 'good all-round' move for both parties.
“I think Juventus are ready to let him go,” Marcotti told ESPN. “McKennie has done better. He had a difficult time at the start of the season. He also had injuries.
“But all of a sudden, they have now discovered younger players – they say ‘alright, we need money coming in after the losses they made’. I am told that Juve want €35m. Leeds haven’t gone quite that high.
“I think it’s a great opportunity for McKennie, not just because Tyler Adams is there, these other American players and this American coach. Simply because the Premier League suits him.
“Turn the page. Play in a different league, with a manager who knows you. Why not?! I think it’s a good move all-round.”
Jesse Marsch's Man Utd observation of Chris Armas critical to Leeds United appointment
Ted Lasso heat can be pushed onto Chris Armas now Jesse Marsch has got him in the building at Leeds United. The Whites head coach has referenced the fictional television character on a few occasions as a stick the British media beats him with.
Marsch’s tongue has generally been in his cheek when he’s mentioned it and he could not help again making a joke about it with compatriot Armas now by his side again. Marsch is, naturally, over the moon the former Manchester United coach has linked up with him.
“First it'll take away the Ted Lasso moniker from me so much and give it to him,” he said. “That might be better. We know each other. Even Frankie Schiemer and I, we worked together in the past, it was two years."
Predicted Leeds United U21s team as changes expected for Norwich trip with FA Cup call-ups
Michael Skubala takes his Leeds United U21s side to Norwich City this afternoon as they go in search of their first points of the year. The young Whites have struggled for form since the World Cup break, losing both of their Premier League 2 Division 2 outings and surrendering their spot at the top of the table as a result.
The loss to Nottingham Forest at Meadow Lane at the start of the month was tough to take, as was the late defeat to West Bromwich Albion last time out. However, they’ll be looking to bounce back this afternoon with a result over the Canaries at the Lotus Training Centre in Norfolk.
Norwich claimed a draw at Thorp Arch earlier in the year and they currently sit in fifth, five points behind the Whites. As such, Leeds know they will be tested this afternoon and they are expected to travel with a weakened squad.
