Marcelo Bielsa has given Jesse Marsch 'big advantage' - Danny Mills
Ex-Leeds United full-back Danny Mills has been speaking about Leeds United's new manager, Jesse Marsch and has revealed that he has been impressed by what he has heard form the American coach.
However, Mills believes that one of the real strengths Marsch will be able to call on in the final 12 games of the season is a 'big advantage' that Marcelo Bielsa has left behind - that being the fitness levels of the squad:
"The one big advantage he has got, most managers come into a club that’s down the bottom and the first thing they say is ‘I need to get this team fit’, that’s the last thing he needs to do at the moment. We all know how fit they are," Mills told Football Insider.
"He doesn’t have to think about that, he doesn’t have to worry about the fitness levels. He can concentrate on the tactics and the way they are going to play. That’s a real plus for a new coach.”
Brendan Rodgers makes preparation claim
Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers has refuted claims that his side are 'unlucky' to face Leeds in Jesse Marsch's first fixture as a manager of the club.
The Foxes manager stated that the use of video looking at Marsch's previous sides will have been enough for his team to prepare for what to expect from Leeds this weekend: "There’s so much footage now, so you have a good idea of how they will work. He will want to impose his own signature on the team."
Predicted line-up for Leicester clash
There is a sense of excitement around Leeds' starting XI for Saturday's fixture as with a new manager comes a new favoured formation and a different assessment on who best suits that shape.
Beren and Joe have predicted how Marsch will line up his team against the Foxes, with both expecting Joe Gelhardt to be given a start with the former expecting a 4-2-2-2 and the latter a 4-4-2 diamond formation.
