Here are the latest Leeds United morning headlines on Wednesday, May 4.
Leif Davis secures second Championship promotion
Bournemouth ensured that they would be joining Fulham in the Premier League next season as they beat third-placed Nottingham Forest 1-0 last night. The Cherries have managed to return to the top flight at the second time of asking after they were beaten in the play-offs last season.
It is the second time Leif Davis has been part of a squad that has secured automatic promotion from the Championship. The Leeds United loanee’s campaign has been heavily disrupted by injuries but he has still played a key role when available.
Scott Parker will have the option to decide whether or not he wants to sign Davis permanently but it is hard to imagine he will activate that clause after the 22-year-old made just 12 appearances throughout the season.

Richarlison ‘set to avoid’ ban after flare incident
Richarlison caused a bit of a stir on Sunday as, during his goal celebrations, he threw a lit flare that had found its way onto the pitch back into the stands at Goodison Park. There was talk that he may receive a fine or even a ban for the incident which could have affected Everton’s survival hopes but he looks set to avoid a potential ban.
According to the Express, the Brazilian is more likely to be punished financially rather than missing games in the Premier League run in. The FA have paused their investigation after Merseyside police asked Everton for their observations of the incident.

Collymore explains why he’d prefer Leeds to be relegated than Everton or Burnley
Neutral supporters in the Premier League tend to have a preference as to who they would rather see go down to the Championship with Norwich and Watford. One of Leeds, Burnley or Everton are very likely to occupy 18 th position when the season finishes and Stan Collymore has explained why he wants the Whites to finish third from bottom.
"I want Burnley and Everton to stay up this season," he said in his Mirror column in Tuesday’s newspaper. "I like the honesty and earthiness of what Burnley have done.
“And, while some think it would reflect badly on the recently sacked Sean Dyche if they do retain their Premier League status, it would actually be the opposite because every player at Turf Moor is a Dyche player. Everton have had 119 seasons in the top division, they haven't been relegated for 71 years, and the top flight just wouldn't be the same without them.
“People say Leeds, on the other hand, are a big club but they have spent half of their years out of the top flight and they have too many players who are game and honest as you like but who are perhaps just not good enough for this level. Going down would be the overegging of the Marcelo Bielsa pudding coming back to haunt them."
