Here are the latest Leeds United evening headlines on Thursday, 7 July 2022.
De Ketelaere bid is put on ice
Club Brugge will ‘have to ignore’ Leeds United 's offer for Charles de Ketelaere at this stage as he prefers a move to AC Milan, according to Belgian outlet HLN.
Leeds have tabled a €30million bid, which could rise to €35million with add-ons included. AC Milan’s bid of €20 million falls considerably short of the Belgian outfit’s valuation, but they hope that both parties can reach an agreement in the coming weeks.
De Ketelaere was convinced of a move to the Serie A champions after talks with technical director Paolo Maldini and manager Stefano Pioli.
Leeds eye Arteaga
Leeds United are one of the clubs interested in signing KRC Genk left-back Gerardo Arteaga. Spanish publication Marca claims that the Mexican international, who has won 14 caps for his country, has attracted interest from a host of clubs across Europe, including Leeds, Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Jesse Marsch has added Danish international Rasmus Kristensen from Red Bull Salzburg at right-back but wants to add another body at left-back to provide competition for Junior Firpo.

Sinisterra signing confirmed
Leeds United have secured the signing of Colombian international Luis Sinisterra from Feyenoord. The 23-year-old becomes Marsch’s sixth summer addition and has penned a five-year-deal at Elland Road which will run until the summer of 2027.
Sinisterra becomes the Whites’ second new signing in the last 24 hours, following Tyler Adams’ arrival from RB Leipzig on Wednesday evening. The winger was named as the Europa Conference League Young Player of the Season last year as he helped his side to a runners-up finish.
With Raphinha’s future remaining in the balance, Leeds have moved to sign another exciting attacking option, with the fee believed to be around £21million.
