Here are your Leeds United morning headlines for Friday, July 22.
Terrier flattered by links
Rennes forward Martin Terrier has admitted links to clubs like Leeds and West Ham United are ‘flattering’ but insists he feels good at his current club amid intensifying interest. The 25-year-old has been linked with a move away from France after scoring 21 goals in 37 Ligue 1 appearances.
Leeds have previous with Rennes, taking Raphinha from under their noses for just £17million - a move which has seemingly hardened the negotiating stance in Brittany, with the French outfit unlikely to accept anything lower than €40million.
And their stance has been strengthened by Terrier’s response to the rumours, with the French forward admitting he feels good at his current club.
“Of course, I feel good here,” he told Foot Mercato when asked if he intends to stay at Rennes. “When you have a good season, it is flattering to have certain clubs that are interested in you, but I am good here.”
Inside Archie Gray talk
Jesse Marsch has spoken about discussions he had with Archie Gray’s dad - former Sunderland, Burnley and Leeds forward Andy - over the summer as he failed to contain his excitement regarding the 16-year-old’s future.
Gray has impressed massively during pre-season and looks to have put himself in contention for first-team football. He was stretchered off to much concern during Sunday’s friendly with Aston Villa but the injury is not as bad as first thought.
"I can’t help, but get excited when I talk about him because you can see it’s not just his talent, it’s his personality and he shows that when he plays.” Marsch said. “He’s ready for some big challenges so let’s see how it goes.”

Klich on Marsch difference
Mateusz Klich has cited the move away from man-marking as the ‘biggest difference’ under Jesse Marsch as Leeds’ summer tour of Australia comes to a close. The Whites face Crystal Palace today on the final game, following matches against Brisbane Roar and Aston Villa.
A concerted period of time to work with the squad has given Marsch chance to implement his playing style away from the chaos of a relegation battle, as well as bringing in some players who are more tuned to the Red Bull way.
“It is not man v man marking, that’s the biggest difference,” Klich said. “But still he wants to press and play intensive football. Marcelo’s been gone a long time ago so there’s no need to talk about him anymore.”
Klich also spoke about his time in Australia and the importance of tough friendlies - and you can read the midfielder’s full thoughts here .
