Here are your Leeds United morning headlines for Monday, July 18.
CDK misses Super Cup
Charles de Ketelaere did not feature for Club Brugge in Sunday evening’s Belgian Super Cup win over Gent. The 21-year-old’s future remains uncertain amid heavy interest from Leeds United and AC Milan.
The Whites have reportedly had a record-breaking £32million bid on the table for two weeks now, but the forward is holding out for Milan - his preferred destination due to the allure of Champions League football.
De Ketelaere was named on the bench for the cup final win at the Jan Breydel Stadium but was never brought on by Brugge manager Carl Hoefkens, adding to the likelihood that he will not feature in a Brugge shirt again.

Meslier hails ‘better’ Marsch tactic
Illan Meslier has been receiving better defensive protection from his teammates and has hailed Jesse Marsch’s tactics. The Leeds goalkeeper was peppered with shots last season, conceding a league-high 79 goals and making 166 saves - second only to Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale.
The French stopper failed to stop a second penalty in Sunday morning’s friendly with Aston Villa after Danny Ings slotted home the eventual winner, but he has hailed the work of his manager and defensive teammates in providing more solid protection compared to the last couple of seasons.
"Honestly, now the tactic with Jesse is good, it's better," Meslier said. "I feel more protection with my teammates and honestly today it was good. I had a lot of tackles and defensive actions from my teammates so yeah, I think it's positive for the future."
