Leeds United have already shown Feyenoord how they can gain from Arne Slot's departure following the transfer of Luis Sinisterra last summer.
Leeds and Feyenoord are no strangers to doing business together. Sinisterra arrived from the Dutch side over the summer and the Colombian has shown glimpses of his quality in what has been a season interrupted with injury.
And now the two clubs look set to try and strike up a deal once more, but this time for their head coach.

Having drawn with Manchester United 2-2 on Wednesday night, the Whites know they will not be alone in their approach. Erik ten Hag, Antony and Lisandro Martinez all made the move from Ajax to Man United last summer.
Michael Skubala was in the dugout at Old Trafford and may well be again for the return fixture at Elland Road, but the board will be hoping they can have a new permanent arrival in charge by then.
A lot will of course depend on how well negotiations go between the two clubs and if the recent comments from Robert te Kloese - Feyenoord's technical director - are anything to go by then, there is a good working relationship between them.
"I have heard nothing from Leeds," he told Dutch outlet Voetbal International when asked about Slot's potential move to Leeds. "Neither officially nor unofficially. Besides, I know Leeds as a correct club, so I don’t believe they are playing this behind our backs. Last summer, Luis Sinisterra's transfer also just went in a very neat, correct way.”
In fact, the mechanics of the Sinisterra deal that Te Kloese refers to could well open the door for a possible breakthrough in negotiations. The Feyenoord boss revealed earlier this season that his side are due to receive further payment should Leeds - and Bournemouth - stay up due to clauses in the contracts of Marcos Senesi and Sinisterra respectively.
“I’m a big fan of Bournemouth and Leeds right now,” he told The Athletic. “If they stay up, we will get some bonuses.”
Feyenoord will be unwilling to easily part ways with Slot given their top of the table status in the Eredivisie, yet if Leeds can offer a financial package that makes it impossible to turn down, that would of course change things.
Leeds will not want to unnecessarily pay over the odds for their new head coach, but if ensuring their Premier League survival comes at a price - it will be money well spent.
