Leeds United confirm Australia for pre-season friendlies with Aston Villa, Palace and Brisbane

Leeds United Villa Aston Villa Palace Australia Brisbane Perth Gold

Australia will host Leeds United once again this summer with three pre-season friendlies scheduled for July against Brisbane Roar, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace. The Whites went Down Under just three years ago with Marcelo Bielsa, when they played Manchester United in Perth and Western Sydney Wanderers in Sydney.

This time, United will return to Western Australia for their Palace clash, but begin in Queensland with the matches against Brisbane and Villa. The match with A-League Men’s Brisbane kicks off at 7.45pm AEST (10.45am UK time) on Thursday, July 14 at Gold Coast’s Cbus Super Stadium.

Steven Gerrard’s Villa will play Leeds at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Sunday, July 17 at 2.35pm AEST (5.35am UK time). Each of those matches form part of the Queensland Champions Cup. There will be a trophy for the winning side from that round-robin competition.
