Leeds man spends months proving why Leeds buses are always late

A Leeds man who became annoyed at buses always being late has spent months researching timetables to prove why they are late.

Dr Ben Hanson, 31, a physics lecturer at Leeds University decided to study the 'live tracker' displays for two bus routes he regularly used. When he found that the buses were due to arrive in five minutes, they were late eight out of ten times. He also discovered that buses could take up to a third longer to arrive at their stops than was predicted on the noticeboards.

Dr Hanson has now submitted a 3,000 word research document to local transport bosses to help make their system as accurate as possible. Ben told SWNS that he was motivated by 'personal grievance' after noticing the inaccuracies.
