An angry Leeds dad has hit out at “groups of lads ruining” beauty spots around the city by leaving rubbish like beer cans and barbecues, and speaking rudely.
Martin Lear, 35, who is based in East End Park, regularly likes to venture out to beauty spots across the city with his two boys, Isza, eight, and Eden, five. He makes sure to always take a bin bag so they never leave a mess.
Martin was delighted when Kirkstall Valley Nature Reserve was bought by Leeds City Council for just £1, so it could remain open to the public. But he says the news coverage has advertised it to "the wrong kind of people" and thinks the public need to treat the land with more respect.
