Leeds dad's heartbreak as life 'never the same' after beloved daughter and wife die less than two years apart

A Leeds dad's life "has never been the same" after losing his beloved wife and daughter to cancer in the space of two years.

Fred Woolerton, 66, said he has had a "tough life" but his world was turned upside down when his daughter died on Christmas Eve 2018. Alexis May Woolerton died in Overgate Hospice after battling cancer aged just 32.

Fred said it shook him and wife Anne-Marie and they were "never the same". He lost his taste and smell, and said "no parent should have to see their child die".
