Bronny James recently received support from his father, LeBron James, as the Lakers star attended a USC Basketball game to cheer on his son. The 39-year-old LeBron, accompanied by his wife Savannah, was seen courtside in a USC Basketball hoodie as they watched Bronny play against Arizona State. USC emerged victorious with a score of 81-73, with Bronny contributing two assists, one rebound, and one steal during his 16 minutes on the court.
USC now holds a record of 13 wins and 17 losses for the season, with an upcoming game against the Arizona Wildcats. Bronny, a college freshman, had a delayed start to the season due to recovering from a cardiac arrest in July 2023. Following surgery for a congenital heart defect, he has been averaging 5.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 19 games, playing an average of 20.2 minutes per game.
LeBron's show of support for Bronny comes after defending his son when he was excluded from ESPN's 2024 NBA mock draft. LeBron emphasized the importance of letting Bronny enjoy college basketball and focusing on his development rather than mock drafts. ESPN's NBA Draft analyst also highlighted Bronny's potential, especially considering his recovery period.
Aside from Bronny, LeBron and Savannah have two other children, Bryce Maximus, 16, and Zhuri Nova, 9. The family continues to garner attention both on and off the court, with LeBron setting records in the NBA and Bronny making strides in college basketball.
