Lebanese authorities reported that at least 41 people have lost their lives and 124 others have been injured due to Israeli attacks in Lebanon within the past day. The total number of attacks in the country has now surpassed 10,000, according to a recent government report.
The report released by the Lebanese government's emergency committee revealed that there were 146 Israeli attacks on Lebanon in the last 24 hours alone. The attacks primarily targeted the southern regions and Nabatiyeh. Since the onset of what was referred to as 'Israeli aggression,' a total of 10,012 raids have been recorded, although the specific date was not mentioned.
As a result of the ongoing violence, 1,067 centers have been set up to shelter displaced individuals, with 881 of them currently at full capacity. The number of displaced people has now reached 188,652, as reported by the National Operations Room.
Furthermore, Lebanese authorities documented the movement of 329,386 Syrian citizens and 126,842 Lebanese citizens crossing from Lebanon into Syrian territory between September 23 and October 15. The impact of the attacks has also disrupted the education sector, with approximately 77% of public schools unable to operate. This is due to schools either serving as shelters or being located in areas directly affected by the violence.
The report highlighted that 40% of public technical education and vocational training students, 57% of Lebanese university students, and 32% of private higher education institutions have been directly affected by the ongoing hostilities.
