The State Examinations Commission (SEC) has announced the date Leaving Certificate results will be issued to students. Officials have confirmed that the 2022 Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied examination results will be issued to candidates on Friday, September 2.
Until now, students currently sitting their Leaving Cert exams were in the dark on when they would get their results and receive their CAO offers to begin plans for college. The exam timetable had been announced in February but no date was given for results.
The State Examinations Commission has said since then they have been engaged in "the planning and delivery of all aspects of the examinations across Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied and Junior Cycle. This has been a significant undertaking in the current year in light of the ongoing effects of Covid-19 on schools; candidates; contract staff and the staff of the SEC."
