North East law firm Sintons has given its staff a £1,000 bonus to help them through the cost of living crisis.
The Newcastle business said it is making the one-off payment to everyone in the firm to help them weather the economic storm, which has seen fuel bills and basic living costs continue to rise, together with the additional pressure of the increases in interest rates. The contribution will be paid in the October payroll.
Christopher Welch, managing partner of Sintons, said said: “The increased costs that everyone is facing, and the challenges that this will cause in the months ahead is extremely worrying, and we are acutely aware of the concern this will cause many people within the business.
