ACTOR Laurence Fox has been sacked from his role as a presenter on GB News.
The channel confirmed it had also fired another presenter, Calvin Robinson, who expressed support for Fox following his comments about the journalist Ava Evans.
Fox was widely criticised for his appearance on Dan Wootton's programme where he made a series of sexist comments about Evans, including "Who would want to shag that?”
In a statement, GB News said: “Laurence Fox and Calvin Robinson were both suspended last week pending internal investigations that have now concluded.
“As of today, GB News has ended its employment relationship with Laurence Fox and Calvin Robinson.
“The internal investigation into Dan Wootton continues.”
Broadcasting regulator Ofcom received more than 8000 complaints about the incident, which occurred during Dan Wootton's programme.
During a lengthy tirade against Evans - who works for the news site Joe - Fox said:
"Show me a single self-respecting man that would like to climb into bed with that woman, ever, ever, who wasn’t an Incel?
“That little woman has been fed, spoon-fed oppression day after day after day… starting with the lie of the gender wage gap, and she’s sat there and I’m going, if I met you in a bar and that was like sentence three, chances of me just walking away are just huge.
“We need powerful strong amazing women who make great points for themselves, we don’t need these sort of feminist 4.0… they’re pathetic and embarrassing. Who would want to shag that?”
It comes after Fox was reportedly arrested and had his home raided by police for threatening to destroy Ultra Low Emissions Zone infrastructure in London.
