Laura Woods savaged a Chelsea fan online after they attempted to "banter" her over Mykhaylo Mudryk, who is now poised to join the Blues.
Mudryk, 22, has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this month and the Gunners have already seen two substantial bids for the Ukrainian winger rejected by Shakhtar Donetsk.
It emerged on Friday that Arsenal were in talks with Shakhtar and had submitted a third bid for the sought-after forward; however, it has now been confirmed that Chelsea have swooped in with a sensational £87million bid to hijack Arsenal's move for Mudryk, who was Mikel Arteta's top January transfer target.
News that Mudryk is now set to move to west London rather than the Emirates has already been met with disappointment from Arsenal fans on social media: including Woods, who is an avid Gunners supporter.
However, after she reacted to the news that Mudryk was Stamford Bridge-bound with a GIF, a Blues fan chimed in to try and rub the transfer in her face. The fan tweeted: "The fact that we're 11th and have more pull than first place Arsenal shows the level our clubs rated at." Woods was ready, though, and quipped back: "No that’s called cash. But bless you."
Undeterred, the fan responded again, tweeting: "I know that, but we just hijacked a deal all Arsenal fans thought was complete so of course we have to add extra banter to the situation."
But Woods was ready and again had an on-point response making fun of Chelsea's lowly league position. She wrote: "Ohh, well that’s cute. I’ve got some too, you’re still 11th x."

Arsenal had hoped that a deal for Mudryk would be straightforward after submitting a third proposal. After all, the Shakhtar ace has dropped numerous hints on social media in recent weeks expressing his desire to move to the Emirates and it was previously reported that he favoured a move to Arsenal over Chelsea, who have been lurking in the background for weeks.
But Chelsea's new director of global talent and transfers, Ben Winstanley, jetted out to meet Shakhtar delegates and thrash out a deal that will see Chelsea pay an initial fee of £62m for Mudryk. The deal includes £35m of various add-on clauses and bonuses, with Mudryk set to pen a lucrative seven-year contract.
The Evening Standard have since claimed that Arsenal have already rekindled their interest in Raphinha after refusing to match Chelsea's mega offer for Mudryk.
Both the Gunners and the Blues chased Raphinha in the summer before his switch to Barcelona. But the 25-year-old Brazilian could be sold just months after moving to the Nou Camp as the Spanish giants attempt to raise some much-needed funds.
