Laura Anderson 'takes swipe' at Gary Lucy after actor breaks silence on their split

Glasgow-based reality star Laura Anderson has seemingly taken a swipe at ex Gary Lucy after the soap star broke his silence on their split.

The Love Island star is expecting her fist baby with Gary, sharing the news last week. However, the pair are not together, with Laura reportedly dumping the Hollyoaks actor after their first baby scan, reports Birmingham Live. And Laura has now given nod to her decision to cut things off with a cryptic message, telling her followers: "I've been choosing peace over people lately. So far no regrets."

The reality TV personality took to Instagram last Wednesday to share a sweet reel including snaps of her scan to tell her followers the happy news. But since, 41-year-old Gary has spoken out about the breakdown of the pair's relationship.

“It’s been really hard and I’m devastated it’s over romantically," Gary told the Sun newspaper as he addressed the split over the weekend. "I think the world of her.” He added: "Things aren’t as I’d have loved them to be.

“I’m a romantic, so I want things to be perfect. I’ll always want that fairytale, but as you get older, you have to realise it doesn’t always work out. I’m really gutted. I haven’t stopped loving her and I won’t stop loving her.”

The announcement comes after the pair met on Channel 4 reality series Celebs Go Dating. Laura and Gary hit things off during filming and opted to give it a go together despite being set up with members of the public during the dating show.

It also follows a tough time for Gary after the after, known for playing Will Fletcher in The Bill, Luke Morgan in Hollyoaks, and Danny Pennant in Eastenders, was involved in a car crash on Boxing Day.
