Laura Anderson's ex-partner Dane Bowers has taken to social media admitting he is "smitten" with his new girlfriend, eight months on from his split from the Love Island star. Reality favourite Laura, 33, had been living in Dubai with the Another Level star, 43, when their romance broke down last year.
She jetted back home to Scottish soil following the split and the 33-year-old went on to have a whirlwind romance with Gary Lucy after meeting on Celebs Go Dating. Things didn't pan out for the couple, who have since broken up, but Laura is pregnant with their first child, who is due in the summer.
And now it appears singer and songwriter Dane has also moved on, as he took to Instagram in a gushing tribute to his new girlfriend, also including a subtle swipe at the Love Island star.
He opened up about his new relationship and insisted he's the "happiest he's ever been" with stunning blonde Jenni Scott. He wrote on his Instagram: "Soppy, deep message time!," as he shared a laughing emoji alongside the social media post.
"Sometimes timing is everything. At 43 years of age it could perhaps feels strange to say this is the happiest I’ve been. But I am… It takes experience, life lessons and failures to show you what REAL happiness is.
"It takes a surprise and a magical moment to kickstart your brain and your heart into realizing what you’ve always really needed. It takes someone to pay attention and listen.
"To react and show you you’re worth it. When that all happens naturally without any real effort then THAT'S the moment. THAT'S the time to give it everything. Absolutely everything."
Dane finished: "And that’s what you deserve. And That’s why I won’t let you slip away." "I'm very lucky," Jenni responded to the social media post as she shared hearts beside her comment.
Currently expecting her first child with actor Gary, reality star Laura has been documenting the pregnancy by sharing updates with her loyal fleet of social media followers.
Laura and the Hollyoaks star have previously been posting a string of cryptic remarks via their respective social media accounts with her revealing in February the pair are "definitely not on good terms" amid their dramatic split, but will manage to co-parent when the time comes.
And during an Instagram Q&A, she was quick to shut down any suggestion of the couple getting back together. Laura simply replied: "No" before saying she "hopes once baby is here" that she and the Hollyoaks actor can co-parent successfully.
It comes following the scandal that Laura's baby dady announced the gender of their baby without Laura's permission. The former Hollyoaks actor announced the news on his Instagram account, with a post of a picture which reads: "Daddy's Girl".
Gary praised his ex in the post announcing the baby's gender, writing: "Let's hope she inherits her Mummy's good looks."
He captioned the image with the message: "Thanks for all the lovely messages from everyone… so excited to meet my little baby bear soon!" At the time, Laura was said to be "really upset" after he announced the gender of their unborn baby.
