Laura Anderson's ex-partner Gary Lucy has posted a cryptic quote from Robert De Niro on social media after the megastar actor shared some well-intentioned life advice during an interview.
The Hollyoaks star, 41, is currently expecting a child with the Scottish Love Island star, but the pair separated at the beginning of the year following a whirlwind romance which started when they met on Celebs Go Dating. Laura is expected to welcome their little girl this summer.
Sharing the clip of the quote from the Godfather legend on his Instagram, Gary captioned the post: "It's a marathon - not a sprint."
De Niro said in the quote: "Just be calm when things are going well, be calm. Don't think you are on top of the world in the sense, you always gonna be wary because I've seen it.
"I've seen people come, I've seen people go, I've seen them come, I've seen them go, you've gotta be chill."
"Take what's good in your life and move forward cautiously and carefully and thank God that you have that," he continued.
"Just it's very very important not to overextend yourself when you think you've got it, there's no such thing. Everybody is dispensable."
Interestingly, De Niro has just welcomed a seventh baby at the age of 79 into the family fold. He has six other children from previous relationships with three women but did not reveal the identity of the mother of his seventh.
Laura and Gary have previously been posting a string of cryptic remarks via their respective social media accounts with her revealing in February the pair are "definitely not on good terms" amid their dramatic split, but will manage to co-parent when the time comes.
And during an Instagram Q&A, she was quick to shut down any suggestion of the couple getting back together. Laura simply replied: "No" before saying she "hopes once baby is here" that she and the Hollyoaks actor can co-parent successfully.
It comes following the scandal that Laura's baby dady announced the gender of their baby without Laura's permission. The former Hollyoaks actor announced the news on his Instagram account, with a post of a picture which reads: "Daddy's Girl".
Gary praised his ex in the post announcing the baby's gender, writing: "Let's hope she inherits her Mummy's good looks."
He captioned the image with the message: "Thanks for all the lovely messages from everyone… so excited to meet my little baby bear soon!" At the time, Laura was said to be "really upset" after he announced the gender of their unborn baby.
Meanwhile, 34-year-old Laura has been beaming with joy as she gave her own social media fans an insight into her pregnancy journey, having been open with her highs and lows of being a soon-to-be mum on Instagram.
The reality star shared a trip to Bump to Baby Scotland clinic in Glasgow where she recently got her 4D baby scan done.
The influencer also shared a clip of herself in the gym lifting weights alongside a progress picture of herself from eight weeks pregnant to 24 weeks.
Captioning the post, she wrote: "Back at @bumptobabyscotland for my 4D scan eek, can't wait to see you beauty."
