Ange Postecoglou has been unveiled as the new Tottenham Hotspur head coach after months of searching for a replacement since Antonio Conte's sacking back in March. The Australian joins from Celtic after securing a domestic treble just last weekend after guiding the Hoops to lift the Scottish Cup after beating Inverness CT 3-1 at Hampden Park.
The former Australia head coach is highly thought of within Spurs' hierarchy as they look to transform to squad around after a number of failed attempts with coaches with proven track records to win trophies. His attacking style of play has been something Tottenham are keen to return to while his connection with the fans in previous jobs will be something that has been lacked in north London recently.
He is not afraid to prove his doubters wrong and did just that during his two-year spell at Celtic Park with five trophies from a possible six. He won a domestic double last season with the Scottish Premiership and Scottish League Cup which he retained this season too as well as adding the Scottish Cup at the end of the season too.
But now, he will have the task of bringing a trophy to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time since 2008 - something the last six permanent managers at the club have failed to do. Here is how bookies Betway see Spurs doing next season under their new boss:
Premier League winners - 66/1
May well be a forgone conclusion this one but stranger things have happened in the world of football - and the Premier League is no stranger to it. Bookies Betway have priced Tottenham to win the top-tier of English football for the first time since 1961 at 66/1 with Postecoglou to become the first Australian to lift the trophy too.
Top 4 finish - 3/1
The ambition that will be set by the board is to get Champions League football back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The club will take a big financial hit for failing to qualify for a European competition for the first time since 2010 so the sooner they are back in the top four the better but that will come with some degree of difficulty.
This year's top four of Man City, Arsenal, Newcastle and Man United show signs of only getting stronger while Liverpool have already started their recruiting earlier than expected with the imminent acquisition of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion. Plus if new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has an immediate effect at Stamford Bridge then we could really see a dogfight for all the European places let alone the top four.
Top 6 finish - 11/10
The bookies seem to be happy backing Spurs for a fight in the top six at 11/10 but despite odds close to evens, they are still priced as the seventh favourite to achieve the feat. Again, they have stiff competition and the bookies are more confident in Chelsea - who finished in the bottom-half this season - to finish in the top six at 4/9.
They will still have to deal with Brighton and Aston Villa with the latter securing Europa Conference League on the final day of the season at Villa Park and Unai Emery is keen to build on that success. Plus, we have not even spoken about Brentford and the possibility of Fulham improving next season too.
