Heavy defeats for Watford and Norwich edged Leeds United one step closer to Premier League survival. If supporters did not think both clubs were destined for relegation before kick-off, they certainly did afterwards following two dismal performances.
Manchester City hammered five past Watford - with Gabriel Jesus bagging four - to cement their position at the top of the league. High-flying Newcastle coasted to a 3-0 victory at Carrow Road and the Canaries remain eight points adrift.
Leeds fans will not be too concerned about the results as the focus is on tomorrow’s crucial double-header. Burnley host Wolves looking to capitalise on a huge victory against Southampton in midweek while Everton make the daunting trip to Liverpool.
