Latest Premier League odds: Liverpool keep title race alive while Manchester United boost top-four hopes

Liverpool kept the Premier League title race alive at the weekend after their 3-1 victory at Selhurst Park enabled the Reds to cut the gap on leaders Manchester City to nine points.

It's still a big lead for Pep Guardiola's side but Liverpool can make further inroads if they win their game in hand and the top two are scheduled to meet at the Etihad in April.

City dropped their first points since October 30 when they were held to a stalemate for a second time this season by Southampton. The 1-1 Saint Mary's Stadium draw ended an incredible run of 12 successive Premier League wins for the Citizens, who remain red-hot 1/9 favourites to land a fourth league title in five years.

City's neighbours Manchester United were the big weekend winners in the race for a top-four spot after Marcus Rashford's late winner against West Ham took the roof off Old Trafford and saw United leapfrog the east London side into fourth place.

United's top-four prospects were given a further boost when Spurs and Arsenal both dropped points on Sunday and Ralf Rangnick's side are now 8/5 favourites with Grosvenor Sport to grab that final Champions League spot despite Spurs having games in hand.

Newcastle United gave their survival hopes a huge boost by edging a tight game against Leeds United, who are by no means out of the woods themselves, at Elland Road on Saturday.

However, Norwich City's win at Watford on Friday night means that for now at least, it is the Canaries that have hauled themselves out of the bottom three.

One side being dragged closer by the week into a relegation battle is Everton who have just three points more than Norwich after suffering a tenth defeat from their last 13 matches against Aston Villa on Saturday.
