Late drama sees Tottenham Hotspur beat Sheffield United 2-1 to maintain unbeaten run

NEW DELHI: Tottenham Hotspur pulled off a sensational comeback, scoring two goals in added time, to secure a dramatic 2-1 victory against Sheffield United on Saturday and maintain their unbeaten record in the Premier League.

In a thrilling match, Tottenham's second-half substitute, Richarlison, put an end to his goal drought with a crucial equaliser in the eighth of 12 minutes added on. He then turned provider, setting up Dejan Kulusevski for the winner just two minutes later.

This thrilling triumph marked Tottenham's fourth consecutive win, setting their best start to a league campaign since the 1965-66 season.

Despite Sheffield United's challenging season, which has seen them without a league win thus far, they initially took a surprising lead with a Gustavo Hamer goal in the 75th minute, defying the run of play.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou made a triple substitution in the 80th minute, introducing Brazilian striker Richarlison, while captain Son Heung-Min was among those making way. This strategic move ultimately paid off in the most dramatic fashion.

Following their late heroics, Sheffield United's frustration boiled over, leading to Ollie McBurnie receiving a second yellow card and subsequent sending off for dissent towards the referee.
