Barely one weekend after The Last of Us Part 1‘s launch, fans believe they’ve found a teaser for developer Naughty Dog’s next game.
On Sunday, Twitter user IliaAkhavan shared several screenshots from The Last Of Us Part 1 containing fantasy artwork (thanks, VG247). Inside one of the game’s many dilapidated buildings, there’s a corkboard with what looks like unicorns, massive eagles, and whimsical landscapes — not what you’d typically expect from Naughty Dog. There are five pieces of art in total, none of which were in the original PS3 release or PS4 remaster.

Aside from that shot where a woman is beside some sort of white wolf-life creature, every other image can also be seen throughout The Last of Us Part 2. So it is entirely possible that these images are simply Naughty Dog reusing assets as decoration. It happens a lot in AAA video games.
Naughty Dog has a history of teasing projects like this, though. When Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception came out in 2011, there was an in-game newspaper clipping teasing The Last Of Us. So there’s precedent for this sort of thing, at least.
Currently, the only still-in-development title from Naughty Dog we know of is The Last of Us Factions — a competitive multiplayer game.
