Krabi: The Administrative Court has declared a piece of land on Koh Nui Nok in Koh Lanta district off-limits to the public and its owner pending its decision on whether the land ownership document was issued legally.
The injunction was put up on a billboard at the property warning that trespassers may be prosecuted.
The court issued the order after it was petitioned to look into the authenticity of the document.
The petition was filed by 20 members of a mangrove conservation group in Ban Jeh Lee in tambon Koh Lanta Yai.
They also sought an injunction, now granted, putting a ban on any activity on the land.
The conservationists were alarmed by the recent felling and burning of trees over a span of more than two rai on the island.
