A 17-year-old is set to appear in court following a disturbance at a store in East Kilbride on Saturday night.
We told you yesterday how a large police presence had been seen in the town’s Main Street.
Information circulated social media, with a video showing at least two police cars parked outside the Coop store on Main Street.
However, comments suggested up to “six police cars and a riot van” had been in attendance initially.
A Police Scotland spokesman told Lanarkshire Live : “Officers received a report of a disturbance at a premises on Main Street in East Kilbride around 9.30pm o Saturday night.
“A 17 year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He has been released on undertaking to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court at a later date.”
