Lanarkshire Starstruck finalist William Boyle performed on TV with his idol Shania Twain last night.
The 31-year-old from Hamilton took to the stage as Meatloaf on the ITV show, wowing the judges and audience with the classic 'You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth'.
Adam Lambert heaped praise on the care worker, telling him: "I really enjoyed the joy that this brought thank you so much", the Daily Record reports.

And Jason Manford was similarly impressed, adding: "Fantastic, brilliant and entertaining, not one person at this room or at home could take their eyes off you while you were performing, well done."
With Beverley Knight pointing out: "I tell you what, that was wonderful, throughout this show, that was the best you've done."
And finally, Shania Twain, William's idol, pitched in: "This is a serious transformation, you work as a mental health carer during the day and you have a really calming demeanour and to see you just switch into this like rock guy, I really respect that you come out here and gave us such a crowd pleaser."
Show host Olly Murs then stood with William and said: "William fantastic comments, you happy with how that went?"
William beamed: "I'm really happy," and looking over at his idol, judge Shania Twain, he added: "can I just say, Shania, 'looks like we made it'", as he sang her iconic song to her.
The crowd cheered as the Man I Feel Like A Woman singer got up from her seat and joined William on the stage and the pair sang together. The audience loved it and the pair hugged and Shania returned to her seat.
Olly then asked William, "Did you ever think you would duet with Shania Twain?" He added: "Never in my wildest dreams, honestly, she's my favourite, thank you."
Despite his brilliant performance, William did not win the competition, as it was Abbie who portrayed Adele who scooped the title and the £50,000 cash prize.
But William went on to say that entering the competition changed his life in more ways than one after appearing on the programme sparked him to lose nine stone in just 13 weeks.
He said: "The show has given me such a confidence boost. I struggled with my weight and that really impacted me and so many aspects of my life. I started a carb-free diet and lost the weight and now I feel like a different person to the one I was a year or so ago."
